Theabilitytobeindependentisthekeytotheirfuturesuccess,soparentsshouldseetoitthattheirchildrengrowindependentofthem.Theyshouldfirstteachthemthesenseofindependenceinsteadofmakingeverythingreadyforthem.AsanoldChinesesayinggoes,toteachfishingisbetterthantogivethefish.Parentsshouldhelptheirchildrentosolveproblemsbythemselves.Thus,childrenwillgraduallydevelopanabilitytodealwithdifficultiesindependently.Furthermore,parentsshouldurgetheirchildrentogooutsidemoreandfindthemselvesmorechancestoexperiencetheworldbythemselves.Mostimportantly,parentsshouldleavetheirchildrenmakingdecisionsindependently,offeringinstructionsandadviceswhennecessary.
