Abstract

Languageandculturearecloselyrelated.Whilemasteringlanguageknowledge,businessEnglishstudentsshouldcombinethecultivationofculturalqualitywiththecultivationofcross-culturalcommunicationconsciousnessandability.ThispaperintroducesthepresentsituationandimportanceofbusinessEnglishstudents’cross-culturalcommunicationawarenessandcompetence,andputsforwardthestrategiesandmethodsofcross-culturalcommunicationawarenessandcompetencedevelopment.ThepurposeistoimprovebusinessEnglishstudents’cross-culturalcommunicationawarenessandability,enhancestudents’comprehensivequalityandsocialcompetitiveness.

Introduction

Interculturalcommunicativeabilitymeansthecommunicativecompetenceintheprocessofinterculturalcommunication,whichistheembodimentofcross-culturalawarenessincommunication.WiththedevelopmentofChina’seconomyandthedeepeningofeconomicglobalization,cross-culturaltalentsareplayinganincreasinglyimportantroleinpromotingChina’stradewithothercountries.Underthiscontext,thewaytoenhancestudents’interculturalcommunicationskillshasbecomeanewchallengeinbusinessEnglishteaching.ThispaperstudiestheinterculturalcommunicationcompetenceofbusinessEnglishstudents.Firstly,itstartswiththeoverviewofinterculturalcommunicationcompetencecultivation,andintroducesthedefinition,classificationandresearchstatusofinterculturalcommunicationcompetencecultivation.Secondly,takingbusinessEnglishmajorstudentsastheresearchobject,thispaperinvestigatesthecurrentsituationofcross-culturalcommunicationabilityofbusinessEnglishmajorstudents,andanalyzestheproblemswithhigherrorrate.Intheend,thepaperproposessomewaystoimprovestudents'interculturalcommunicationskills.

Thefirstchapteristheresearchbackgroundandvalue.ThisresearchishelpfulforbusinessEnglishmajorstudentstocultivatebettercross-culturalawareness,improvecross-culturalcommunicationability,soastomeettheneedsofforeign-fundedenterprisesintermsoftalent.Secondly,themaincontentofthepaperisintroduced.Finally,theexpectedresultsofthisstudyarepresented.

Thesecondchapteristheintroductionofcross-culturalcommunicationtraining.Firstly,thedefinitionandclassificationofinterculturalcommunicationtrainingaresummarized.Secondly,itreviewsthecurrentresearchsituationofcross-culturalcommunicationtraining.

Thethirdchapteristhecultivationanalysisofcross-culturalcommunicationofbusinessEnglishstudents.Firstly,interculturalknowledgeisintroduced.Secondly,throughthewayofquestionnairesurveyaboutthestatusquoofbusinessEnglishstudents’tointerculturalcommunication,theinvestigationcontentincludesculturalknowledgeandvocabularyofEnglish-speakingcountries,researchedverbalactsandnonverbalacts,socialvalueandnormsofsocialbehaviors,etc.Finally,theproblemofhigherrorrateisanalyzed.ThereasonsforthehigherrorrateoftheseproblemsaremainlyduetothelackofpracticeinbusinessEnglishteachingmodeinChina,whichlimitsstudents’cross-culturalthinking.Inaddition,businessEnglishteachingignoresthecomparisonbetweenChineseandwesterndifferences,resultinginstudents’insufficientattentiontothispartofcontent.

ThefourthchapterisMethodsofImprovingInterculturalCommunicativeCompetence.Throughtheaboveanalysis,thepaperproposesamethodabouthowtoimprovetheinterculturalcommunicationability.InbusinessEnglishteaching,firstofall,asalearningguide,teachersshouldhaveclearteachingobjectives,andintheteachingprocess,theyshouldcombinewiththerealitytoimprovestudents’cross-culturalability.Secondly,intheteachingprocess,teachersshouldbegoodatadjustingthecurriculumofbusinessEnglishmajorandstrengtheningtheconstructionofpracticalcourses.Inaddition,teachersshouldalsoguidestudentstostrengthentheirindependentlearningabilityandresearchlearningability,toimprovetheirinterculturalcommunicationskills.

Intheincreasinglyfierceinternationaleconomiccompetition,China’sforeigneconomicdevelopmentrequiresalargenumberoftalentswithbusinessandEnglishknowledgeandcross-culturalcommunicationskills,whichisabigchallengeforbusinessEnglishteaching.Inthispaper,cross-culturalcommunicationcompetenceisdeeplystudiedandanalyzed,anditsprofoundinfluenceonbusinessEnglishteachingispointedout,inordertofindouttheproblemsandshortcomingsinbusinessEnglishteachingofsomecollegesanduniversities,proposeseffectivemeasuresandmethodsfortheproblem,achievesthepurposeofcross-culturalcommunicationamongstudents,andenhancesstudentscommunicationskills.

Fromtheperspectiveofdisciplines,businessEnglishisnotasingleindividual,butaneffectivecombinationandwideapplicationofbusinessactivitiesandbusinessEnglish.ItsbasicpositionisEnglishmajorundertheforeignlanguageandliteraturemajor.

BasedonthedefinitionofbusinessEnglishcompoundmajor,thebusinessEnglishmajorrequiresnotonlyasolidEnglishlanguagefoundation,butalsoarelativelysystematicknowledgeofinternationalbusinessmanagementtheory,strongpracticalskills,andproficiencyinEnglish.Businesswork.[2]Intheprofessionalfield,businessEnglishtalentsshouldhavestrongcomprehensivequality,preferablyinternational,compoundandappliedquality.Therefore,thetraininggoalforstudentsiscompoundbusinessEnglishprofessionalswhosecoretaskistocultivateinterculturalcommunicationskills,namelybusinessEnglishcommunicationskillsandbusinesspracticeskills.

Asawayofcommunication,theso-calledcross-culturalcommunicationistoallowtheparticipationofdifferentcultures,andintheexchangeofviewscollision,theformationofacertainargument.Interculturalcommunicationcoversawiderangeoftopics,includinginteractionsbetweendifferentcountries,betweendifferentcultures,betweendifferentethnicgroups,andbetweendifferentcommunities.

BusinessEnglishisnotonlyaprofessionalsubject,butalsoaconvenientcommunicationmedium.Itplaysamajorroleinthecoreandfoundationofbusinessknowledge.Inotherwords,Englishisanimportantlanguageforbusinesslanguages.BusinessEnglishisindispensable,soitisusedforinternationaltrade,businessactivitiesanditsinfluenceisoftenveryimportant.Withtheincreasingtrendofeconomicregionalization,internationalbusinessEnglishhasgraduallyemergedandbeenappliedmoreandmorewidely.TheadvantageofEnglishinthemorningistoenhancestudents’languageapplicationabilityandenhancetheirabilitytosurviveandcommunicateinbusinessactivities.Inforeign-relatedbusinessactivities,businessEnglishtalentsmustnotonlyfacedifferentpoliticalsystems,legalsystemsandeconomicenvironmentsthantheirowncountries,butalsobedirectlyorinmanylanguageexchanges,non-verbalexchanges,socialcustomsandpractices.[3]

Therefore,itisnecessaryforustoraisetherequirementsonstudents,focusoncultivatingtheircross-culturalawareness,andenhancestudents’skillsincross-culturallanguageapplication.
