Welcometothejungle,ahugeseaofgreenalivewiththesoundsofanimals.ThisistheAmazonrainforest.Asthelargestrainforestintheworld,itplaysasignificantroleinmaintainingthefinebalanceoftheEarth’secosystem.

Morethan1,300speciesofbirdsandover400speciesofmammalshideamongthejungle’splantlife.Thisjaguarisoneexample.Ithasayellowish-browncoatwithblackspots.Whileasignificantnumberofjaguarssurvivehere,theyareonlyoneonatleast87species,includingfrogs.Thesefrogs,inturn,feedoninsectswhicheatleavesandfruit.Whenajaguardies,atinyarmyofmicroorganismshelpsbreakdownitsbodyandreturnthenutrientstotheearth.

reduce,reuseandrecycle.Forexample,youcansaveenergybytakingthebusorthesubway,orusingthebike-sharingsystem.
