这两个词都可以用作名词和动词,作名词时,意义接近,但不是同义词。

(1)作名词时,award的意思是“奖品”、“奖金”,其义与prize近似,两者都指因为作出杰出成就而受奖。

奥林匹克的获胜者授予金牌作为奖品。

(2)而reward作名词时,其义为“赏金”、“酬金”或一些非金钱的报酬。

例如:

如果有人提供有关案件的情报,我们愿意出一万元赏金。

(3)用作动词时,award的意思是“授予”“颁发”“判给”;reward那么表示“报答”“酬谢”之意。

例如:

他获杰出工业设计一等奖。

(4)reward也可以用于比喻意,指无形中的报答酬谢。

例如:

【一】Thesimplepresent(一般现在时)

1.一般现在时表示经常发生、习惯性动作、客观真理、科学事实、格言,目前的特征、状态、能力等。

(与一般现在时连用的时间状语有:

everyday,onceaweek,always,often,everytime,nowandthen,occasionally,seldom,sometimes,usually,etc.)

2.主句是一般将来时,时间、条件状语从句中用一般现在时表示将来。
