ThisisbecausethediethasaspecialstatusinChineseculture.AmericafamousnewlychemicalrepresentativefigureWhiteiscalled“fatherofculturology”,heputthecultureasakindofspecialandobjectivesocialphenomenon,andasacompletesystem(White,1949).ItalsohasabigdifferencebetweenChinaandtheWest.Chinahasalongandrichhistoryonitsculture.InChinaalmosteverythingiscloselyrelatedtoeating.Whiledietarycultureinwestisnotaswell-developedasthatinChina.Besides,westerncountriesarenotparticularaboutcookingasChina.
