AbouttheInstallationProcess

ThissectionprovidesanoverviewoftheBizTalkServer2009installationprocessandthefeaturesandcomponentsthatareavailabletoinstall.

Overview

ThebasicinstallationprocessforBizTalkServer2009isthesameasformostWindows®-basedapplications.TheBizTalkServerSetupprogramcallsWindowsInstallertoinstallBizTalkServer2009andtherelatedcomponents.Setupcoordinatestheinstallationprocessfrombeginningtoend,terminatingwhenthelastcomponentisinstalled.Ifyoudonothaveacomponent,SetupisabletoinstallprerequisitesfromtheWeborfromapreviouslydownloadedCABfile.

ThefollowingtableprovidesanoverviewofthestepsneededtoinstallBizTalkServer,assumingthatyouarebeginningwithanewcomputerthatdoesnothaveanoperatingsysteminstalled.
