Theteamconductedtwostudies.Inthefirst,127participantswerechosenrandomlytowatchoneoftwovideoclips,whichhadbeenprovedinpreviousstudiestofeeleithersadnessoramusement.Theydidn’tdothatinaspecificorder.Theentiregroupwasthentaskedwithidentifyingthecolorsin48continuedcolorchanges.Thegroupthathadbeenshownthesadclipwasmeasurablyworseatidentifyingcolorsalongtheblue-yellowaxis.
