雅思词汇学习的误区和解决方案
一．误区
词汇问题是同学们在准备雅思考试中最感到迷茫的一个问题。
应考雅思该储备多少词汇量以及哪些词汇是参加雅思考试最需要掌握的词汇这两个问题一直在困扰着广大考生。
本人在教授雅思词汇课程当中发现大家对雅思词汇的认识存在着三个误区。
误区一：
量的误区
现在比较流行的一种说法是准备雅思考试必须具备七千到八千的词汇量。
这种说法可能是把雅思考试同国内的六级考试等同起来了。
但实际上，不同于国内的四六级考试，雅思考试在词汇量方面是没有一个固定的要求的。
本人曾经就词汇量问题询问过剑桥雅思考试培训教程InsightintoIELTS的作者Vanessa女士，她的意见是，词汇学习是没有止境的，盲目追求量对英文学习造成负面的效果。
所以准备雅思考试需要七八千词汇量并不是一个科学的说法。
误区二：
质的误区
和对词汇数量认识的误区一样，对词汇学习的质量的误区也是由于对雅思考试的特点缺乏了解造成的。
很多同学认为大部分的词汇只要会认就可以了，但实际上，不同于托福和国内的四六级考试，雅思考试并不设有专门的词汇题，它对词汇的考察是在具体听说读写语境下的词汇考察，这就意味着它考察的词汇同学们不仅要会认，而且要知道在听力测试中怎么拼写，阅读测试中会分析该词在上下文中的逻辑关系，以及知道在口语和写作中如何使用。
误区三：
真题词汇的误区
书店里被冠以雅思真题词汇的书籍不下十余种，但这些词汇书都大同小异，不过是一些四六级词汇的改编，再加上从《剑桥雅思考试全真试题解析123》摘下的一些词汇而已。
其实，雅思真题词汇这种说法本身就不能成立。
雅思考试的保密工作做得很好，所有的试卷考完都要收回，所以不存在有所谓的雅思真题词汇一说。
剑桥大学出版的《剑桥雅思考试全真试题解析123》确实是雅思真题，但这些真题在出版后就不会再在考试中出现了，因此收集里面的词汇并称之为真题词汇也是对广大考生的一种误导。
二．雅思考试的词汇解决方案
针对以上三个误区以及雅思考试对词汇的考察特点，本人提出了以下解决方案。
一．保证以下两个词汇表中的词汇完全掌握。
所谓完全掌握就是掌握每一个单词的读音、拼写、意思、搭配以及能在正确的语境中使用它。
这两个词汇表分别是《英文最常用词汇表》GeneralServiceList（GSL）和《学术词汇表》AcademicWordList（AWL）。
大部分参加雅思考试的同学都应该是高中以上水平的学生，理论上来说都应当具备《英文最常用词汇表》GSL里面的两千个左右的词汇量，所以同学们雅思考试词汇准备的重点就是《学术词汇表》AWL里面的600个左右的单词。
这个词汇表是语言学家对一个庞大的学术英语语料库进行统计之后得出的。
这六百个词是英文学术类文章中出现频率最高的单词，也是任何学科的学生进入大学之后最经常碰到的词汇。
而雅思考试中的阅读和写作两项对词汇要求最高的测试都是比较学术性的。
所以，尤其是对参加学术类（A类）的考生而言，这个词汇表中的单词是准备雅思考试时的重中之重。
二．分topic总结整理词汇。
根据雅思历年考试的topic整理出来的词汇也将是同学们学习的重点。
无忧雅思网的雅思词汇频道有比较详细的雅思分类词汇，比如说教育方面的词汇，环保方面的词汇以及媒体方面的词汇都是雅思阅读和写作的高频词汇，需要重点记忆。
将词汇按照topic分类不仅能提高单词记忆效率，而且使得同学们能对众多繁杂的词汇建立起联系，对词汇加深认识，从而更有针对性地准备雅思考试。
