我为什么不赞成评“三好学生”
——袁征教授谈《中国教育问题的哲学思考》
前些日子，华南师范大学教育科学学院袁征教授出版了《中国教育问题的哲学思考》，提出了许多有趣的观点。
新市民网.中国（以下简称新市民网）记者为此采访了袁教授。
新市民网：
袁老师，你为什么会写这本书？
袁征：
十几年前，我在美国听了几节哲学课，被他们吓了一大跳，一直想把自己的想法讲出来。
另外，这也是为了完成学校规定的工作量。
新市民网：
美国的哲学研究做得好吗？
袁征：
上个世纪六七十年代以后，美国的哲学的确很棒。
但他们的课堂并不是只唱美国的调。
我也不专信美国佬。
在柏克莱听课看书，是给我打开了四面八方的窗户，让我看到了人类好些最优秀的理论。
新市民网：
举个例子好吗？
袁征：
许多人说，真理总是相对的。
我在书里说，要是遇到这样的情况，咱们就该问讲那种话的人：
“您这话是不是相对的？
”如果他说不是，那么，他的话就不是真的，是错话；如果他说是，那就是说会有例外，会有绝对真理，他的话还是错的。
新市民网：
这有意思。
袁征：
哲学是很好玩的。
不过这个观点不是我的发明，是英国哲学家波普尔在二十世纪四十年代提出来的。
当时哲学的制高点还不在美国。
新市民网：
你的书讲了一些波普尔的故事。
袁征：
有个朋友建议我在书里讲讲外国重要思想家的生平，让中国人了解一下他们，所以我引用他们的观点时穿插地讲了点故事。
他们属于世界上最聪明的人。
新市民网：
这样的书读起来也有趣。
不过你的书讨论的是中国问题嘛。
袁征：
当然，挂着羊头，就得卖羊肉。
我只是希望爬上巨人的肩膀看看身边的事情，结果发现挺奇妙。
例如，咱们的法律规定，受教育是公民的权利和义务。
我搞清楚什么是权利，什么是义务之后，就知道受教育不可能既是权利又是义务。
咱们的法律还规定，公民在行使自己权利的时候不得损害别人的权利。
我想，我弹钢琴的权利会损害邻居安静休息的权利。
而邻居安静休息的权利也会损害我弹钢琴的权利。
那就是说，法律不准我弹钢琴，同时又不准我的邻居安静休息。
这不是很滑稽吗？

这个想法好玩。
袁征：
哲学是最讲道理的学科。
把道理讲透了，结果常常就特别有趣。
