”Thiscomment（评论）wasmadebyaCubanteenagegirl.Shewasattendingahugeprotest（抗议）inHavana,Cuba,againstAmericanimmigrationlawslastTuesday.

Tensofthousandsofpeople,includingCuba’sPresident,FidelCastro,tookpartintheprotesttoremember30missingCubans,including13children.TheirboatwaslostintheFloridaStraitsaftersettingoutfromCubaonNovember17.Itisoneoftheworstaccidentsinvolving（牵扯到）Cubansbeingsmuggled（偷渡）intotheUS.Fourteenpeoplediedinthesinkingofasmuggler’sboatin1998,andabout40peoplediedin1994whenatugboatsanknearHavana.Castrobelievesthatthe“CubanAdjustmentAct”isresponsibleforthe30peopledisappearing.

This1996lawgivesspecialallowancestoCubanimmigrantswhoreachUSlandbywhatevermeans.Itgivesthemresident’sstatus（居民身份）andchancestowork.ItisverydifferentfromtheUSpolicytoimmigrantsfromothercountries.Becauseitencouragesillegalimmigrationandthesetypesofaccidents,somecalledit“themurderouslaw”.
