Tobeginwith,earlychildhoodexperienceandlessonshavelastingimpactsonsomeone’slifeandthatiswhyparentsandteachersshouldtrytheirbesttoteachmoralityandgoodqualitiestochildren.Childrenarecuriousandsometimeslessmaturetounderstandcertainharmfuleffectsofdoingsomethingwhileeveryfatherandmotherwanttheoffspringtobecomeanidealandexemplarypersoninlife.Theyoftenneedtousecertainpunishmenttoteachavaluablelessontoayoungsterandthesolepurposeofthispunishmentshouldbeteachingamorality,shouldnotbedrivenbyanysortofpersonalangerorfrustration.Physicallybeatingaboyoragirlisinnowayshouldbeusedastherearefarbetterwaysofpunishingachildtoteachhimsomething.Whilephysicalpunishmentisnolongerusedinmostofthedevelopedcountries,itcouldstillbefoundinunderdevelopedcountries.Thisformofpunishment,inmyopinion,shouldnotbeused.Moreeffectivepenaltiescouldbenottalkingtothechildforamisconductornottakinghimtotheplaygroundforadayortwo.Similarly,parentscouldrefrainfromawardingthechildwithchocolateortoysandremindingthechildwhyhedoesnotdeservethose.Ifparentshaveafriendlyrelationshipwiththechildrenandsimplyexpressingtheirfrustrationforanactofthechild,thatwouldworklikethemagic.Frommypersonalexperience,IcansaythatItookmattersmoreseriouslywhenmyfatherstoppedtalkingtomeforacertainperiodforsomethinghedislikedaboutmeandIvowedmanytimestomyselfnottodothatagain.

Toconclude,punishmentisnecessarytoteachchildrenmoralityandhelpthemlearntodistinguishgoodthingsfrombadones.However,thispunishmentshouldnotbephysical,ratherpsychologicalandpractical.
