WhydoIloverunning?

Actually,it’salittlebitsillytome.IrunbecauseIcan.Tosomeextent,thatiswhatmostlypeoplethink.Iusedtobeacouchpotato,life,youknow,ismerelyanounforme.I’mnotinterestedinanythingandeverythingseemsdull,running,however,bringsmeanewlife.Ichangemylifestyle.I’veturnitintoaverb,resultingfromthefactthatIalwayskeepmoving.Withnomoreequipment,justapairofrunningshoes,youcandoitanywhere,anytime.

WellIhave.Ithoughtmyfootballteamwasamazingbutitturnsouttheopposite.JoiningflagfootballwasperfectbecauseIdidn’thaveanythingtodooutsideofschool.

Atfirst,whenIjoinedflagfootballIenjoyedplayingit.IwenttoeverypracticebecauseIwantedtogetbetter.Thecoacheswerereallyniceandhelpful.IalsowenttopracticeontimebecauseIdidn’twanttoruntwolaps.Ialsowenttopractice,becauseIwantedtomeetnewfriendsandalsohangoutandhavefun.FromallthepracticesthatIwenttoIworkedveryhardoneverything.Iwasonthedefenseside,andIwasthemiddlelinebacker.PlayingonthedefensesideisfunbecauseIgottopullflagsfromtheoffenseteam. 

Afteracoupleweeksofpracticethecoachesgotstrict.Hewantedusteammatestodoeverythingperfect.Forexampletheytoldustocatchthefootballandifwecouldn’tcatchtheballthenwehadtodo5-10pushups.Ididn’tlikehowthecoacheswerekindofstrict,soIslackedoffandgoofedaround.Weallgotyelledatbytheteamcaptainsowetriedtodoourbest.WhenIwasinjuredthecoachesandtheteamcaptainthoughtIwaslyingtothemsoIstillhadtopracticewiththeteamwhenIcouldn’tevenrun.
