1.Thefarmerwasveryafraid,andhethoughthewouldbesentencedtodeathbykillingpeople.这一句可以改为形容词作状语的悬垂结构：

2.Hehopedthatsomeonecouldcomeandsavehim.可改成感叹句，语气更加强烈：
