That’sthereasonbehindthe“GiveItUpforEarthDay”campaign.It’sdesignedtoencouragehealthyhabitsthatbenefitpeopleandtheplanet.Itchallengeseveryonetohelpcreateahealthierworldbymakingchangesintheirdailyroutine.

“Wewantedtoplananactiontargetedcampaignthatwillgivepeopleachancetoactontheirconcernfortheenvironmentinapositiveway,”saidGoldberg.

Thecampaignhasidentifiedfourdailyactionsthatcanadduptohugeenvironmentalsavings.Theyincludepledging(保证)toturnofftheTV,givinguptheuseofpoisonouscleaners,reducingconsumptionofconsumerproductsandcuttingoutmeat.

AttheendofApril,allofthepledgeswillberecordedandconverted(转化)intothenumberofTVhoursnotwatched,dollarsnotspentonunnecessaryitems,electricitysaved,greenhousegasemissions(排放)avoidedbycuttingoutmeat,andpoisonouschemicalsproducedfromhomesandlandfills.
