1．本单元重点学习有关普通家庭用品、房间以及简单饮食方面的词汇，其重点在于各房间以及房间内物品的听、说、读、写以及归类，要求学生不仅掌握有关词汇并利用所学词汇进行创造性的应用，以体现英语这门语言学科的特点。
2.本单元中，“听、说”仍旧作为重点进行训练，教师在教学中，要设计听力练习以及创设对话情境来完成这一目标，如在“Jenny’sHouse”教学时，教师可以利用实物或大型张贴画来创设情境，让学生根据所学内容来创造性的编排对话，进行听和说的训练。
