Peoplenaturallyhavedifferentlevelsofconfidence.Somehaveahigherlevelofconfidencethanothersdo,buteventhosewhoseconfidenceislackingcanlearntobuildtheirlevelofconfidenceandreachtheirmostimportantgoals.Increasingself-confidenceisoneofthemostcommonreasonspeoplegiveforseekingthehelpofpsychologistsandotherprofessionals.

Oneofthemanyplaceswhereagreaterlevelofconfidenceisusefulisintheworkplace.Weallknowhowdifficultitcanbe,forinstance,toaskthebossforaraise.Thisprocesscanbeextremelydifficultforthosewholackconfidenceintheirownabilities.Afterall,ifyouareunsureaboutyourownabilities,howwillyoueverconvinceyourbossthatyoudeservemoremoneyfortheworkyoudo?

Evenifyouarenotaskingforthatbigraise,havingplentyofconfidenceinyourabilitiesisimportanttosuccess.Ifyouarecertainofyourabilities,chancesarethatthosearoundyou,whethertheyareyourcoworkers,yourcolleaguesoryoursuperiors(上级),willseethatconfidence,andthatwillhelptoassurethemthatyouarethebestatwhatyoudo.

Beingthoughtofasthepersontogoto,andbeingseenasanexpertinyourchosenfield,isnaturallyveryimportanttosuccessonthejob.Ifyoucanmakeyourselfthepersonpeoplegotoforguidanceandadvice,youwillhelptoprotectyourselffromtheeverpresentdangerofdownsizing.Afterall,ifyouarearecognizedexpertattheoffice,youwillberegardedasanindispensablememberoftheteam.
