Abstract
Inrecentyears,Chinahasreceivedarapiddevelopmentineconomyandbeguntoparticipateinmoreworldbusinessactivities.Therefore,languagecommunicationwithforeignersisbecomingmoreandmorefrequent.Coloridiom,asaspeciallanguage,istheessenceofculture,whichentailsarichculturalconnotation.Inordertoavoidsomeunnecessaryculturalconflictsandmisunderstandingsduringthecross-culturalcommunication,thispapermainlydiscussesthedistinctlyculturalreflectionsandinfluenceofthecoloridiomtohelpforeignlanguagelearnersimprovethecompetenceofthecross-culturalcommunicationinlearningandbusinessactivitiesgradually,sothatkeeptheculturaldiversitybetweentheEastandtheWest.Allinall,thecoloridiomplaysanimportantroleduringtheinterculturalexchange,whichenrichestheworldlanguage.

摘要
近些年来,中国的经济得到了迅速的发展,开始加入更多的世界贸易活动,因此,中国人与外国人的语言交流变的越来越频繁。
颜色习语,作为一种特殊的语言,它是文化的结晶,蕴含着丰富的文化内涵。
在跨文化交际中,为避免一些不必要的文化冲突及误解,该文章主要讨论了习语的定义,分类,习语出现的原因及颜色习语所反映的不同文化和影响来帮助那些外国语言学习者在学习及贸易活动过程中逐渐提高他们的跨文化交际能力,从而保持中西方文化的多样性。
总之,颜色习语在跨文化交际中发挥着重要作用,并丰富着世界的语言。

1.Introduction
WiththeglobalizationofeconomyandespeciallywithitsaccessiontotheWTO,Chinaistakinganincreasinglyactivepartinworldbusinessactivitiesandcommunication,inparticularEnglish-learning.ItisthereforenecessaryandinevitablefordomesticenterprisesandforeignlanguagelearnerstoenterintobusinessorlanguagelearningcommunicationwiththeWesterncompanygroupsoroverseaspeople.Theinterculturalcommunicationisacontemporarytrendamongcountriesorpeople.Therefore,cultureplaysaveryimportantroleincommunication.Moreover,becausetheEasterncultureisdifferentfromtheWesternone,thatistosay,thereisalotofdistinctlyculturalconnotationsexistingbetweenChinaandEnglish,itisvitaltoknowmoreaboutthedifferentlyculturalconnotationstoavoidsomeunnecessaryconflictsandmisunderstandingsincommunication.
Becausecultureiswidelyspreadonlybyspokenandwrittencommunications,idiomisfrequentlyspokenandwritten,itisalsoanimportantpartofcultureinthedailyconnections,inotherwords,andtheidiomistheessenceofculture,whichembodiesstrongerculturalfeatures.Asalanguage,theidiomcontainsvariousculturalconnotationsaccordingtodifferentcontexts.What’smore,colorisaperceptionoftheobjectiveworld,itnotonlyreflectsthecolor’sphysicalproperties,butalsoreflectsthesocialattributesandculturalcharacteristics.Owingtodifferentlyhistoricalandculturalbackgrounds,lifeenvironmentsandvariousvaluesindifferentnations,thecolorinChinese-Englishcultureshowsdifferentconnotationsandassociations.Tosomeextent,itiscolorthatenrichestheworldandthelanguage,thecolormakestheidioms’innermeaningmorediverse.Learningdifferentlanguagesfromabroadaimstocommunicateindifferentlyculturalareas,sodoesthecoloridiom.ChinaandEnglishhavealonghistoryinlanguage,bothincludingmanyidioms.
Idiomisderivedfromlife,whichincludesthingsinlife,enlightenswisdomandcoverseverything.Coloridiomsometimesrevealsthespeakers’attitudestowardthingsorpersons’behaviorsandsocialstatus.Ifnotappropriatelyused,coloridiomswillresultinnegativeeffects,sothatitisverydifficulttokeepharmoniouscooperationrelationswithoverseaslargecompaniesintheprocessofcross-culturalcommunication.Forforeignlanguagelearners,ifnotbetterunderstood,coloridiomwillmaybeleadtocommunicatingbarriersandunpleasantthingshappentoaddressersandaddressees.Onthecontrary,thecoloridioms’culturalconnotationscanbewell-knowntoChineseandEnglishpeople,itwillhelptheEasternandtheWesternculturaltransmissionintheinterculturalconnectionstomaintainculturaldiversityandenhancethecommunicatingability.Meanwhile,itwillpromoteChina’seconomicaldevelopmentandcompetitiveadvantageontheinternationalstage.

Languageisthecarrierofculture.Idiom,asaspeciallanguage,isfullofcolorfulculture.Moreover,idiomistheculturalkernel,soitsmeaningisratherlarge.Idioms,ingeneral,aredeeplyconnectedtoculture,languagelearnersandbusinessmen,toacertaindegree,havetounderstandthefullmeaningofidioms.Theidiomreferstoagroupofwordswhosemeaningisdifferentfromthemeaningsoftheindividualwords.(OxfordAdvancedLearner’sEnglish-ChineseDictionary873)Itsdefinitionseemssimple,butitsapplicationsarediverse,flexibleandvivid.Thatistosay,theidioms’connotationsarericherthanitsliteralmeaningsincommunication.Itsexpressionsareveryshortandbrief;itishardtounderstandidiomsbetterifonlylookingatseparatewords.Generallyspeaking,theidiomsarefixedphrasesorshortsentences,whicharegraduallyformedwiththehistoricallanguagedevelopment.Theidiomscan’tbearbitraryapartorbacktogetheragain.
Becausetheidiomcoversproverb,slang,colloquialandsoon,theidiomentailsabundantlyculturalconnotation,whichmakesithasremarkablenationalcharacteristics.Chinahasalonghistoryandarichculture;thereisalotofidiomappearinginChinawiththehistoricalevolutionanddevelopment.Inthedailycommunication,theculturalconnotationsofidiomsarepreferredtousewidelyinallfields,reflectingChinesenationalfeature.Englishisoneoftypicalrepresentativesinwesterncountries,italsohasrichculturalconnotation.Therefore,ChinaandEnglishhavesomedifferentviewstowardtheidiom’sexpression.

Withtheadventofglobaleconomization,themarketcompetitionbecomesmoreandmorefierce.Culturalcommunicationisinevitable.Theidiomisappliedfrequentlyindomesticandoverseas.Inordertohelplanguagelearnersorbusinessmennotfailtotheapplicationofidiomsintheinternationalexchange,manyscholarsfocusonthestudyofidioms’types.
