课题研究的目的和意义:
目的:
本文的目的在于通过对简奥斯汀与张爱玲主要小说作品中几对任务爱情和婚姻关系的分析,探讨简奥斯汀与张爱玲的爱情婚姻观的相同行,既反对为金钱和财产儿结婚,对门当对户的观念,同时又存在着偶然性与必然性。
并通过对两作者生活背景及语言运用的风格分析揭示两作者婚姻观和爱情观的不同。
意义:
简奥斯汀与张爱玲在字里行间体现对爱情的追求,但她们又不同于那些旗帜鲜明的女权主义作家,都没有抛开自己熟悉的生活背景投身于更广阔的社会生活,勇敢的去恋爱。
作品的表层叙述中也没有提出诸如自由、婚姻自由的口号。
通过对两者的作品中婚姻观,爱情观的对比,探讨经济在婚姻与恋爱中的作用,引人深思,同时也让我们对婚恋观进一步反思。

国外:
海外对主要是简奥斯汀作品中反映的家庭观与当代社会的对比。
分析作品中女性的主体因素。
海外研究对张爱玲的研究可以分为两个阶段“第1阶段1957-1984年夏志清,唐文标等人对她作品的介绍与评述”“第2阶段1985年至今,辐射面波及北美等地的华文文学的影响研究分析和评价”。
1995年9月后,她在美国辞世后,海外学者多运用西方现代文艺理论来剖析。
国内:
国内对简奥斯汀小说的女性角色表现手法的研究主要从婚姻观爱情观等角度切入,考察了简奥斯丁作品对爱情的观念的借鉴技巧
国内对张爱玲小说的研究主要从小说的电影画面感、电影造型、电影化技巧等角度深入。

Abstract:
JaneAustenandEilleenZhangbothcomposetheirnovelsfromtheperspectiveofmarriages,expressingtheirdeepthoughtsonhumannature,socialideology,andtheirpointsofviewsaboutmarriage;however,JaneAustendescribestheworldwithmoresensewhileEileenZhangshowstheworldwithmoresensibility,whichleadstotheirdifferentstylesofwriting.InJaneAusten’sview,aperfectmarriageneedspassion,lovesenseandeducationbackgrounds;inEileenZhang’opinion,loveexistsoutofmarriage,whichleadstowomen’sdereismandtragedies.Differenttimesandsocietieswheretheyliveinfluencetheirattitudesandtones,buttheirnovelsalsosharesomecommonviewsonmarriage.Thisthesiswillcompareandcontrastpeople’sattitudestowardsmarriageinJaneAusten’sworksandEileenZhang’sworksanddifferentwritingstylesofthesetwogreatwriters,aimingtodiscovertheimpactsbydistinctsocialbackgroundsandperiods.

TheperfectmarriageinAusten’seyesshouldbaseonmoneybutnottotallyrelyonmoney.Husbandandwifeshouldrespectandloveeachotherthustheycouldliveahappylife.
1.2ThereflectionofloveandmarriageinthethemeofEileenZhang’snovels
ThewomeninZhang’snovelsarenottheoneslivingintheoldtimeswhosemarriagesaretotallyarrangedbyparents,ortheoneswhoarecourageousandstinkinmoderntimes.Theyhavespecialqualitiesnurturedbythemetropolitancity,and.Comparedtothewomenwholeavehomeinmoderntimes,theyinclinetostaybythesideoftheirhusbandsandsufferfromsorrowandpainintherestoftheirlifetime.
2.ThesimilaritiesofJaneAustenandEileenZhang’spointsofviewsonmarriage
2.1Thesimilarfatalismandchancinessofloveandmarriage
InEileenZhang’snovels,sheemphasizedthefunctionoffatalandchancesinmarriages.Forexample,LiusuBai,amiserablewomanatfirst,inLovingoftheBeautifulWoman,madeherdreamofmarriagecometruebecauseofthe’saccidentaloccupationbyenemy.Afterbeinghorrifiedbythecomingdeath,LiuyuanFanwhosurvivedandexhausteddecidedtoliveanormallifelikeothers,thushemarriedBaiLiusu.“Life,deathorseparationarebigeventstuttheyarenotunderourcontrol.Comparedwiththepowersbeyondhumanbeing’scapabilities,wearesotiny.”Becauseweareso“tiny”,wesuccumbedtothefatesofoursandpargmatismprincipleinchanciness.LikeZongzhenLvinBlockagepreliminarilyonlyintendedtoavoidhisnephewonanelectriccarduringtheblankoff,butchangedhisseatandmovedtoaseatnexttoateachernamedWuCuiyuan.Itwasbeyondourimaginationthatthiscoincidencegavebirthtoalovecarashbetweenthetwo.
AlthoughJaneAustenpersistedtotheimportanceofsenseinchoice,yetshealsoattachedgreatimportancetocoincidence,neverseparatingrationalchoiceandchancinessormakingthemtwodifferentmutuallyrepellentpowers.InPrideandPrejudice,fatesandchancinessplayedaleadingroleandenrichedtheplottoalargeextent,makingseveralhappymarriages,whichresultedfromaseriesofcoincidences.AswecanseeinPrideandPrejudice,marriagesbetweenJaneandBingly,ElizabethandDarcyhadcloserelationshipwithchanciness.Binglyisahappy-go-luckymanwhosecharacterdeterminedthataccidentalfactorswouldinfluencehischoice.Atthesametime,themarriagebetweenElizabethandDarcywasalsotiedtochancinesswhichmadehearDarcy’sfrivolousremarksonher,causing’sprejudiceonDarcy.Andinthesecondhalfofthisnovel,routesandcalendarofandherunclehadbeenrescheduled,leadingtotheunexpectedmeetbetweenandDarcyand’snewattitudetowardsDarcybecauseshedidn’treleasethefacttoherparentsandthatitwasWichhamwhomadetheirelopement.Intheendofthenovel,theyhappilygotmarried,havingexperiencedtheirpurecourseofmutualunderstandings,whichwasbeyondtheirownexpectationsandefforts.Itwascoincidencethatbroughtthemtotheirhappymarriages.
Thepeopleatthattimebelievedsomuchinfateswhichblockedtheirwaytodiscoveriesandadventures.Writingabutthebeliefshowstheincapacityofhumanbeingsinexistence.Fromthenovelsandtheanalysisabove,wecanseethedependenceonfatalismandchancinessofJaneAustenandEileenZhangaresimilar.
2.2Thereflectionofpragmatismloveandmarriageintheirworks
AlthoughJaneAustenandEileenZhangexpressedtheirsubmissionanddependenceonpeople’straditionalminds,yettheyweregreatrealistsandsawwomen’sdepressionandrestrictionsonthemclearly.IntheworksofJaneAustenandEileenZhang,readersdonotfeelromanticatall,forthetwogreatauthors,fromthebeginningtotheendintheirnovels,putmaritalproblemincomplicatedeconomicproblemsandrelations.Infact,theloveaffairsandmarriageswereusuallyissuesofeconomy,lifeandlust.Moreover,marriagesdidnotexistforthesimpleresultsoflovebutthedemandsofmoney,whichreflectedthereallife,innerqualityandpeople-to-peoplerelationsindifferentsocialbackgroundsandtimes.Womenweretheappendixofmanandtheironlywaytosurviveistomarryadecentandrichman,makingtheirlivessupportedbysomething,nomatterduringtheoldtimesinorin.In,conservativedisciplinesandauthorityofhusbandposedgreatburdensonwomen,ethicorderideologyandgenderrulingideologytherelationshipofeconomy,sexandpowersdecidedtheirweakroleinwhichwomen’sfatesweremasteredbymenandalmostlosttheirinitiativerightswhileseekingtheirdependablehusbands.Thisphenomenonblockedwomen’swaytodeveloptheircharactersandpersonalities,whichledtotheirdifficultiesinfindingtheirfreelibidoandtheirownrelationshipswiththesociety.Inconsequence,itwasratherhardforwomenatthatparticulartimetobeperfectpersonsofcompleteflesh,animaandspirit.Thein18thcenturywascalled“arationaltime”whensenseruledeverything.ThatisalsooneofthereasonswhyJaneAustenlooksonmarriagewithsense.WecanseefromAusten’snovelsthatheritageswereonlyallowedtobeinheritedbymalechildreninthatfamily,indicatingthatwomenhadnosocialstatusandtheironlyguaranteewasthelimiteddowers.Therefore,inordertoensuretheirlifecomfortableinmarriages,womenshouldbaseonthepracticalfactors,seekingtheirrichhusbands,whentheywereusuallywarnedbytheirparentsthatseekingarichhusbandwasbetterthanenjoyingaunforgettableromance.
ThemarriagesdescribedbyEileenZhangweresimilartoJaneAusten.InLovingofBeautifulWoman,,thecharacterLiusuBai,adivorcedwomanlivingwithherparentsandbrothers,showedusherhorrorundereconomicstressandinconsistentpsychologicalstatusbetweenahusbandandastableincome.LiusuBaibetherrestoflifeandherdignityonastablemarriage.Inordertoachievethat,LiusuBaitriedeverythingshecoulddotogetridofthetitleof“fancywoman”andthenmarryLiuyuanFanjustifiably.Actuallythesecretlyinginthisintentionwastoensureherinasaferstate.QiQi
