Sofar,sogood.Thisisnotrocketscience.Defensivepessimistspreparecarefullyandconsiderwhatmightgowrong,whetheratwork,ondateoreveninasportsgame.Itmakessensetohaveaback-upplan.TherearemanysayingsinEnglishurgingcaution.Forexample,“Don’tputallyoureggsinonebasket.”And“Don’tcountyourchickensuntiltheyhatch.”Tohaveaconfidentandoptimisticapproachtolife’sproblemsisgood.ButlistentowhatWoodyAlien,theAmericancomediansays,“Confidenceiswhatyouhavebeforeyouunderstandtheproblem.”
