The“HumanitarianActionReport”discussesseveralissuesthatUNICEFsaysincreasinglythreatenthebasicrightsofwomenandchildren.Itsaysclimatechangehascauseddroughtsandfoodinsecurityinmanyareas.Highfoodpricesandtheglobalfinancialcrisisof2008~2009haveonlyaddedtopovertyandmalnutrition(营养不良).Andarmedconflictcontinuestothreatenthelivesofmillions.

HildeJohnsonsayschildrenarealwaysthemostaffectedbyconflictanddisasters.Theyfaceanincreasedriskofabuse,includingsexualviolenceandotherseriousrightsviolations(侵犯).
