1.Introduction

Thepurposeofthisdocumentistodefineallproceduralmattersrelatingtothedesign,procurementandconstructionoftheproject.ThisdocumentshouldbereadinconjunctionwiththeUniversityofLeedsProjectManagerHandbook.

TheProjectExecutionPlan(PEP)ispreparedbytheProjectManagerinconsultationwiththeclientandtheProjectteam.Itdescribesthegeneralprocedurestobeadoptedbytheclientandtheteamfortheproject.

ThePEPisnotastaticdocument.Itshouldberegularlyupdatedbyeachteammember,althoughallrevisionswillbeissuedthroughtheProjectManagertoretainanelementofcontrol.

TheobjectivesofthePEParetoachievetheclient’srequirementsintermsoftime,costandqualityvia:

∙Monitoringandcontrollingprojectprogrammeanddelivery

∙Maintaininganadequateandtimelyflowofcriticalinformation

TheUniversityundertakesawiderangeofmaintenanceandnewbuildprojectsandhasdevelopeda UniversityofLeedsProjectManagerHandbookforuseon Universityconstruction projects.Ateachstageoftheprojectthehandbookshouldbereferredtoforguidanceandsupport.Withinthehandbookisaseriesofprocesseswhicharesupportedbyarangeofproceduresandtemplates.Eachprojectalsohasasetofeightgatewayreviewsthatmustbesignedoffbytherelevantpartiesbeforeaprojectcanproceedtothenextstage.
