OnJan13,LiJisen,17,fromBeijing101MiddleSchool,broughtalonghisproposaltothethirdsessionofthe13thBeijingCommitteeoftheCPPCC.

“Ihaveonlyreadaboutthispoliticalsystemintextbooksbefore,butnow,Icandirectlyseeandfeelthissystemand democracy withChinesecharacteristicsinaction,”hetoldChinaDaily.

Heproposedthatmorecompaniesshouldprovidestudentsopportunitiestoexperiencedifferentoccupations.AccordingtoBeijingYouthDaily,hehadbeenpreparingtheproposalsincelastMay,whenhenoticedtherewasaneedforstudentstoexperiencework,whichwouldhelpthemplanfortheirfutureprofessions.

Heinterviewed63businessownersandfoundthatmostofthemwelcomedstudents,butforstudents,there’snoaccesstotherecruitinginformation.

Liisnottheonlyonetorespondtoasocialissue.Lastyear,DingXiaohanandCuiZijun,both17,fromYantaiDevelopmentZoneSeniorHighSchoolinShandong,focusedonecologicalprotectionintheirhometown’scoastalareas.

Becausetheygrewupbytheseaside,theyfeltsadthattheirbelovedcoastalshelterwas dottedwithgarbageanddecidedtocallformoretreatmenttothepollutionintheirproposal.

Theylistedtheirsuggestionsby thoroughly studyingthecurrentsituationandtreatmentofthelocalcoastalenvironment.Theirproposalwaslistedinthe2019NationalExcellenceProposals.
