Theanswertoourquestionsaboutwatchingtelevisionwerealsointeresting.OnlytwopercentofthestudentswatchTVonetothreetimesaweek.ThirteenpercentwatchTVfourtosixtimesaweek.Andeighty-fivepercentwatchTVeveryday!

Althoughmanystudentsliketowatchsports,gameshowsarethemostpopular.

ItisgoodtorelaxbyusingtheInternetorwatchinggameshows,butwethinkthebestwaytorelaxisthroughexercise.Itishealthyforthemindandthebody.Exercisesuchasplayingsportsisfun,andyoucanspendtimewithyourfriendsandfamilyasyouplaytogether.Andremember,“oldhabitsdiehard”.Sostartexercisingbeforeit’stoolate!

Everyoneisgoodatsomething,butsomepeoplearetrulytalented.It’salwaysinterestingtowatchotherpeopleshowtheirtalents.Talentshowsaregettingmoreandmorepopular.First,therewereshowslikeAmericanIdolandAmerica’sGotTalent.Now,therearesimilarshowsaroundtheworld,suchasChina’sGotTalent.Alltheseshowshaveonethingincommon:

theytrytolookforthebestsingers,themosttalenteddancers,themostexcitingmagicians,thefunniestactorsandsoon.Allkindsofpeoplejointheseshows.Butwhocanplaythepianothebestorsingthemostbeautifully?

Therearedifferentkindsofresolutions.Someareaboutphysicalhealth.Forexample,somepeoplepromisethemselvesthayaregoingtostartanexerciseprogramoreatlessfastfood.Manyresolutionshavetodowithself-improvement.somepeoplemightsaytheyaregoingtotakeupahobbylikepaintingortakingphotos,orlearntoplaytheguitar.Someresolutionshavetodowithbetterplanning,likemakingaweeklyplanforschoolwork.

Althoughtherearedifferences,mostresolutionshaveonethingincommon.Peoplehardlyeverkeepthem!

Sometimestheresolutionsmaybetoodiffculttokeep.Sometimespeoplejustforgetaboutthem.Forthisreason,somepeoplesaythebestresolutionistohavenoresolutions!

Somescientistsbelievethattherewillbesuchrobotsinthefuture.However,theyagreeitmaytakehundredsofyears.Scientistsarenowtryingtomakerobotslooklikepeopleanddothesamethingsasus.Japanesecompanieshavealreadymaderobotswalkanddance.Thiskindofrobotwillalsobefuntowatch.

ButrobotscientistJamesWhitedisagrees.Hethinksthatitwillbedifficultforarobottodothesamethingsasaperson.Forexample,it'seasyforachildtowakeupandknowwheretheare.MrWhitethinksthatrobotswon'tbeabletodothis.Butotherscientistsdisagree.Theythinkthatrobotswillbeabletotalktopeoplein25to50years.

Robotscientistsarenotjusttryingtomakerobotslooklikepeople.Forexample,therearealreadyrobotsworkinginfactories.Theserobotslookmorelikehugearms.Theydosimplejobsoverandoveragain.Peoplewouldnotliketodosuchjobsandwouldgetbored.Butrobotswillnevergetbored.

Inmostcountries,peopleusuallyeattraditionalfoodonspecialholidays.AspecialdayintheUnitedStatesisThanksgiving.ItisalwaysonthefourthThursdayinNovember,andisatimetogivethanksforfoodintheautumn.Atthistime,peoplealsorememberthefirsttravelersfromEnglandwhocametoliveinAmericanabout400yearsago.Thesetravelershadalong,hardwinter,andmanyofthemdied.Inthenextautumn,theygavethanksforlifeandfoodintheirnewhome.Thesedays,mostAmericansstillcelebratethisideaofgivingthanksbyhavingabigmealathomewiththeirfamily.Themaindishofthismealisalmostslwaysturkey,alargebird.

Makingaturkeydinner

HereisonewaytomaketurkeyforaThanksgivingdinner.

First,mixtogethersomebreadpieces,onions,saltandpepper.

Next,filltheturkeywiththisbreadmix.

Then,puttheturkeyinahotovenandcookitforafewhours.

Whenitisready,placetheturkeyonalargeplateandcoveritwithgravy.

Finally,cuttheturkeyintothinpiecesandeatthemeatwithvegetableslikecarrotsandpotatoes.
