MiltonwasborninLondononDecember9,1609asthesonofawealthynotary(公证人).HewaseducatedatSt.Paul'sSchool.MiltonreceivedaMaster’sdegreefromCambridgeUniversityin1632.In1638,heundertookaEuropeantourwherehemetmanyofthemajorthinkersoftheday,especiallyinItaly.
