Introduction

ThisCodeisprovidedonthebasisoftherevisionsmadetotheoriginaleditionof''DesignCodeforHeating,VentilationandAirConditioninginPetrochemicalIndustry''byourInstitutewiththeparticipationofBeijingPetrochemicalEngineeringCompanyaccordingtotheNoticeofDocumentNo.Jian-Bia-Zi-269issuedbyChinaPetrochemicalGroupCorporation.

ThisCodeisdividedinto5chaptersand3appendixes.Themaincontentsofthisrevisionareasfollows:

1.Theprovisionsintheoriginalcodewhicharenotadaptivetothenationalcurrentcodesarerevised,suchastheclassiflcationofexplosionhazardousareas,thepositivepressurevaluesofpositive-pressuretypeexplosion-proofelectricalequipment,thegasemissionstandards,airductmaterialsforventilationandairconditioning,etc.,soastomakethemcomplywiththenationalcurrentstandards.

2.AccordingtothegistofnSeveralProvisionsforPlantDesignofChinaPetrochemicalGroupCorporationclausesintermsofthereductionsinpersonnel,landcoverageandinvestment,savingenergy,etc.,havebeenrevisedandadded.

3.TakingintoaccountthewideapplicationsoftheDistributedControlSystem(DCS)inthepetrochemicalprojects,theexperienceinthedesignoftheairconditioningfortheDCScontrolroomhasbeensummedup,andtheclausesintermsoftheenvironmentalconditionsforDCScontrolroom,thecontrolandoperationofairconditioningsystem,theaircurrentcomposition,etc.,havebeenaddedandrevised.

4.Apartoftheclausesregardingsafetyaspectshavebeenaddedandrevised,suchasthecentralizedmonitoringandcontrolofthemajorventilationandairconditioningunitsandstandbyoftheequipment,theinterlocksoftheairconditioningunitsofDCScontrolroomwiththefireautomaticalarmsystem,theexhaustoftheroomsequippedwiththefullgassubmergingfirefightingsystem,etc.

5.Thoseclausesintheoriginalcodewhichareseldomusedordifficulttofunction,arecancelledormodified,suchasheatingwithsteam-ejectionhotwater,therecycleofcondensateforthesteamheatingsystem,diffusiveexplosionhazardoussubstancesorharmfulgasesandvapor,anddistributionofoverallexhaustratefortheplantbuildings,etc.

Duringrevision,widesurveysandstudieshavebeenmadebasedontheproblemsexistingintheoriginalcode,thepracticalexperiencesoftherecentyearsinthedesignofheating,ventilationandairconditioninginthepetrochemicalindustryhavebeensummedup,thecommentsontherelevantdesign,construction,operations,etc.,havebeenaskedfor,themajorproblemsfoundhavebeendiscussedseveraltimesandthecodeisflnalizedafterreviewismade.

1.GeneralPrinciples

1.0.1ThisCodeisestablishedforthepurposeofimplementingtherelevantnationalgeneralandspecificpoliciesinthedesignofheating,ventilationandairconditioning(HVAC)forthepetrochemicalenterprises,soastoprovidenecessaryconditionsforsafeproductionactivities,improvementoflaborconditions,productqualityassurance,environmentalprotectionandrationalutilizationofresources.

1.0.2ThisCodeisapplicabletothedesignofHVACofthenewlyconstructed,expandedandrebuiltproductionplantbuildingsandannexbuildingsforthepetrochemicalenterprises.

1.0.3TheoperationstatusandmajorparametersshallbecentrallymonitoredandcontrolledforthoseHVACunitswhichexertsrelativesignificanteffectontheproductionsafetyandproductquality.

1.0.4Inthedesign,thefull-tineorpart-timespecializedtechnicalpersonnelandtheoperationandmaintenancepersonnel,aswellastheappropriatetestinginstrumentsshallbespecifiedaccordingtothequantity,importanceandcomplexityleveloftheHVACunits.

1.0.5DuringtheimplementationofthisCode,therequirementssetinthenationalcurrentmandatorystandardHDesignCodeforHeating,VentilationandAirConditioninginPetrochemicalIndustrynandtheotherrelevantcurrentstandardsandspecificationsshallbesatisHed.

2.Heating

2.1GeneralProvisions

2.1.1Centralizedheatingsystemshallbeprovidedfortheplantbuildingsandtheannexbuildingsintheregionswherethenumberofdayswithameandailytemperatureforyearsconstantly<5°Cisgreaterthan90days,andtherearesomepeopleusuallystayinginroomsorcertainrequirementsforroomtemperaturesmadefortheproduction.

2.1.2Centralizedheatingsystemisallowedtoprovidefortheplantbuildingsandannexbuildingsintheregionswherethenumberofdayswithameandailytemperatureforyearsconstantly<5°Cis45〜59days,andthemeanRHvalueforthecoldestmonthsforyearsisequaltoorgreaterthan75%andthereareoperationpersonnelstayingcollectivelyandfrequently,providedthatthereiswasteheatintheplantareathatcanbeutilizedanditisapprovedbythedepartmentincharge.

2.1.3CentralizedheatingsystemisallowedtoprovideforplantbuildingsandannexbuildingsintheregionsotherthanthatasspecifiedinClause

2.1.1andClause2.1.2ofthisCodewhentherearespecialrequirementsfortheambienttemperaturemadeforproduction.

2.1.4Asfortheproductionplantbuildingsprovidedwiththecentralizedheating,whenthereinnospecialrequirementsfortheambienttemperaturemadeforproductionandthebuildingareausedbyeachworkerdoesnotexceedlOOur,itisnotsuggestedtoprovideanoverallheating,however,thelocalheatingshallbeprovidedinthefixedworkpoints,andwhentheworkpointsarenotfixed,theheatingroomshallbeprovided.

2.1.5Theheatingmediumforthecentralizedheatingshallbedeterminedaccordingtotheeconomicandtechnicalevaluationsontheheatsupplyconditionsoftheplantarea.Firstofall,thewasteheatofproductionshallbeutilized,anditisrecommendedtousehotwaterasheatingmedium,andwhentheheatinginplantareamainlyusesthesteamforproduction,thesteamshallbeusedastheheatingmedium.Itissuggestedtorecyclethecondensate.

2.1.6Inthedesignofcentralizedheating,thecalculationofinteriortemperatureinwintershallbemadeanddeterminedaccordingtothefactorsofthepurposesofrooms,productioncharacteristics,laborintensity,levelofautomationandmechanization,conditionsofmaintenanceandpersonnelstay,etc.ThecalculationofinteriortemperatureforheatingoftheroomsofgeneralproductionplantbuildingsandannexbuildingsshallbemadeanddeterminedaccordingtoAppendixAtothisCode.

2.2HeatingSystem

2.2.1Selectionofheatingsystemsshallcomplywiththefollowingprovisions:

(1).Whenhotwaterisusedasheatingmedium,itisrecommendedtousedasinglepipelinesystemforthemulti-storeybuildings.

(2).Whensteamisusedasheatingmedium,itisrecommendedtousedual-pipingsystemforsupplyingsteamwithrisesanddistributingwithdowncomers.

2.2.2Selectionofradiatorsshallcomplywiththefollowingprovisions:

(1).Itisrecommendedtousetheradiatorsthatareeasytobecleanedfortheproductionplantbuildingswithrelativelyhighrequirementfordustdispersion

ordustproof.

(2).Itisrecommendedtousetheradiatorsmadeofironcastingfortheproductionplantbuildingsinwhichthecorrosivegasesaredispersedortheroomrelativehumidityishigh.

(3).Itisrecommendedtousetheradiatorswithaniceappearancefortheadministrativeofficesandtheroomsforthelivingandwelfarepurposes,laboratories,instrumentcontrolrooms,etc.

(4).Theplate-type,flat-tubingtypeandsteel-sheetpillartyperadiatorsshallnotbeusedinthesteamheat
