自20世纪80年代以来，元阳哈尼族梯田从封闭的哀牢山走向全国，走向世界，知名度日渐提高。

国内外专家学者和游客纷至沓来，深为其壮丽的景观与丰富的文化所折服。

1995年，法国人类学家欧也纳博士也来元阳观览老虎嘴梯田，面对脚下万亩梯田，欧也纳博士激动不已，久久不肯离去，他称赞：

“哈尼族的梯田是真正的大地艺术，是真正的大地雕塑，而哈尼族就是真正的大地艺术家！

”云南省红河州元阳县地处哀牢山南部，这里聚居着哈尼、彝、傣、苗、瑶、壮、汉七个民族，是一幅多姿多彩的边地民俗风情画廊。

各族人民经过千百年来辛勤的劳动，依山开垦了36万多亩的梯田，堪称世界一绝。

元阳梯田最佳的旅游季节，是每年的一月至五月。

当地只种一季水稻，六月插田，七月一片葱绿，十月一片金黄。

入冬以后放水浸田，田埂线条清晰可见，弯曲有序，也是摄影的好时机。

“theterracesoftheHaniEthnicGroupareanrealartandasculptureoftheearthandtheHanipeoplearetrueartistontheearth.”InthesouthoftheAilaoMountainistheYuanyangCountyoftheHongheState,theYunnanProvince,wheretherelivetotallysevenethnicgroups:

theHani,theYI,theMiao,theYao,theZhuangandtheHan.Theyhavecomposedacolorfulfolk-custompictureintheborderareaAfterhavingworkedhardfortensofthousandsofyears,theyhavedugupterracesofmorethan360,000acres,whichcanbecalledoneandonlyintheworld.ThebesttravelseasonsintheterracesofYuanyangarethosefromJanuarytoMayeveryyear.Theygrowriceonlyonceayear,transplantingriceseedlingsinJune,takingcareofseedlingsinJulyandharvestinggoldenriceinOctober.Whenwintercomes,theywillletwatergointothefieldstowaterlogthem.Atthistime,ridgesofthefieldsarenotonlyclearinfocusbutalsocurvinginsequence,anditisthebesttimetotakephotos.

1.中国最长的宴席——哈尼族长街宴

哈尼族是中国人口在百万以上的十余个少数民族之一，总人口达132.52万人。

哈尼族自古以来就是耕种梯田的民族，梯田文化就是整个哈尼族的灵魂文化。

游客可在每年岁末年初到元阳旅游，因为此间不但是元阳梯田显示壮丽景色的最佳时节，也是哈尼族展现“长街宴”风采的大好时机。

“长街宴”是一种古老又独特的哈尼族民间宴席，至今仍流传于云南省红河、元阳等地的哈尼山寨中，它是哈尼族最隆重的传统节日“昂玛突”（哈尼语，意为“祭寨神”，祈求来年风调雨顺，五谷丰登，人畜平安）的主体仪式。

家家户户要准备黄糯米、三色蛋、猪、鸡、鱼、鸭肉、牛肉干巴、麂子干巴、肉松、花生米等近40种哈尼族风味的菜肴和好酒，抬到指定的街心摆起来，一家摆一至二桌，家家户户桌连桌沿街摆，摆成一条很长的街心宴（当地人称长龙宴或街心酒）。
