区别when和while引导的时间状语从句
When既可以引导表示时间点的时间状语从句,也可以引导表示一段时间的时间状语从句,从句中的谓语动词既可以是延续性动词,也可以是短暂性动词;while通常引导表示一段时间的时间状语从句,从句中的谓语动词通常是延续性动词。
注意事项:
1、当表示两个延续性动作同时进行,且强调主句表示的动作延续到从句所指的整个时间,通常用while。
2、如果从句是短暂性动作,主句是延续性动作,用When。

3、while也可以用作并列连词,意为“而、却”,表示对比。

过去进行时
1.过去进行时的结构
过去进行时的构成:
was/were+动词的现在分词;否定式则在was/were后加一个not,疑问句则将was/were提前即可。
2过去进行时的意义和用法
1)过去进行时主要表示过去某个时刻正在进行的动作,常与表示过去的时间状语连用。
如:
(just)then,yesterdayafternoon,,atnine,lastnight,atthis/thattimeyesterday。
IwaswatchingTVathomeyesterdayafternoon.
2)过去进行时也可以表示过去某一时间段内正在进行的状态,常与thosedays,thewholemorning,fromninetotwelveatnight等时间状语连用。
3).过去进行时与频度副词always等词连用,表示过去反复经常的动作,常常带有埋怨、讨厌、赞扬或喜爱等情绪。

用做标题或者把它当特殊的词时,用Kind-Hearted或者KIND-HEART

returnto中,return是动词,加to表示回到哪里(动作),如果return后面不加to,则只能用在here,there等词前。
backto中,back不是动词,加to只表示方向,前面必须有go,come等动词,
而单单一个back前面没有动词,后面没有to就更不能使句子正确了。

intotal与atotalof的区别
intotal和atotalof都有总共、总计的意思,但是atotalof是形容词性的词组,天是介词词组,通常作定语。
Intotal可以放句首也可放句末,
