MargaretMitchell,afamousmodernfemalewriterwhoeverachieveliteraturedoctordegree,workasajournalistofAtlantanewspaper.In1937,shegetaPulitzerprize.In1939,sheearnagoldenawardofNewYorksouthassociation.shewasknockedbyacaranddiedunfortunatelyin1949.MargaretMitchell,afamousmodernfemalewriterwhoeverachieveliterature.Althoughshehasnotleavetoomuchwork,themasterpiecegonewiththewindwinherreputationinwordliteraturehistory.Inchina,womenjusthavealowsocietystatus,eventheyarebeatenupbytheirhusband.Chinesefamilyexistaseriousviolencephenomenon.Intermsofsuccessincareer,womencanlearnfromScarletandcultivatetheabilityofinnovation,self-confidenceandself-trust.Tosucceedininterpersonalrelationship,womencanfollowScarlettousebeautyproperlytoattractothers.

摘　要：

玛格丽特·米切尔，美国现代著名女作家，曾获文学博士学位，担任过《亚特兰大新闻报》的记者。

1937年她获得普利策奖。

1939年获纽约南方协会金质奖章。

1949年，她不幸被车撞死。

她短暂的一生并未留下太多的作品，但只一部《飘》足以奠定她在世界文学史中不可动摇的地位。

在中国，女性的社会地位比较低，甚至遭到丈夫的毒打，中国式家庭存在严重的的家庭暴力现象。

本文通过对《飘》中主人公斯嘉丽的性格特征分析，提出现代女性可从中学习和借鉴的地方，主要是在事业方面可学习斯佳丽的创新意识与能力以及自信；在人际交往方面可学习斯佳丽充分利用美丽的外表优势。

MargaretMitchell,afamousmodernfemalewriterwhoeverachieveliteraturedoctordegree,workasajournalistofAtlantanewspaper.In1937,shegetaPulitzerprize.In1939,sheearnagoldenawardofNewYorksouthassociation.Shewasknockedbyacaranddiedunfortunatelyin1949.MargaretMitchell,afamousmodernfemalewriterwhoeverachieveliterature.Althoughshehasnotlefttoomuchwork,themasterpiecegonewiththewindwinherreputationinwordliteraturehistory.Shakespeare,afamousplaywright,hassaidthatthenameofthewomenwasfrailty.Foralongtime,womenwereslavesofmen.Womenwereweakandcouldnotprotectthemselves,norcouldtheyhavetheirownfateinhand.Whatthewomencoulddowasjusttoobeymen’sorder.Butastimegoesby,withthedevelopmentofsociety,women’sstaturehasimprovedalot.Womenin21stcenturyarenotwhattheywerecenturiesago.Modernwomenhavechangedalotandhavetheiruniquecharactersandfeatures.Withthedevelopmentofadvancedscienceandtechnology,economicglobalizationandthearrivalofknowledgeera,thesocietytodayisnolongercontrolledbymen.Womenhavebeenthemastersoftheotherhalfofthesky.TheyhavetherighttodecidewhattodoorwhatnottodoandWomencancontroltheirownfate.MenandwomenareequalinPresentSocialSituationofWomen.Somenovelsandfictionscreatetheimagesofwomenwhoaresuccessfulincareerandgetrespectfrompeople.Buttheseimagesarejustthegoodwishesofthewriters.Thereasonwhythesewriterscreatesuchheroinesispartlythatinreallifeunderthatbackground,womencannoteasilysucceedeitherinfamilylife,careerorinterpersonalrelationship.Anidealwomanisonewhoshouldatleastbesuccessfulincareer,familyandinterpersonalrelationship.Butdonotbescaredofthethreegoalswhichseemdifficulttoachieve.Ifyouwanttobeaperfectwoman,onecangetsomeinspirationorsuggestionsfromScarlet,TheheroinesinGonewiththeWind.
