Introduction

This articlemainly introduces thecomparativestudyofsimilaritiesanddifferences aboutChinese and Americaneducationsystem,characteristics, andthe effectsof itsown. AsanEnglishmajor, Ithink weneedtolookat Chinese and America educationsystem, whetheritis thesame ordifferent point, will helpustobecomebetter learning. Throughthisarticle, canwegetabetterunderstandingof theeducationsystem, theeducationidea oftheUnitedStates, and its influenceandsoon. Maybewe cangetinspiration fromtheAmericaneducation systemandthe comparison ofChineseeducationalsystem,andthen becomeabetter Englishlearners.

 

II.ThecharacteristicsoftheAmericanandChineseeducation

Educationsystem

ThetypeofeducationinnowadaysChinaischieflyexam-orientededucationwhosecharacteristicisselectingpeoplebasedonthemarkstheygetintheexams.Obviously,thistypeofeducationhasitsdisadvantages.Thefirst,ithasstudentspaytoomuchattentiontomarksbutoverlookthedevelopmentofability.Thesecond,luckplaysanimportantroleinthiskindofeducationandit’sinefficienttoselecttherighttalentedstudents.Moreover,regionalunfairnessalsoexistinnowadayseducation,whichmeansstudentsinsomeareasareeasiertogotoagoodcollegewhilesomeothersaremuchharder.Thoughthesedisadvantagesareknownbypeople,theeducationalreformisdifficulttocarryoutbecauseofactualconditionsinChina.

InAmerica,educationisnotcaseasinChina.Americahasbeenahighlydevelopedcountryforalongtime.TheeducationinAmericahadquiteascalesinceAmericawasformed.Studentswillnotgetthedegreesunlesstheyaccumulateenoughcreditpoints.Moreover,largediscrepanciesalsooccurinthecharacteristicsofeducationbetweenChinaandAmerica.InAmerica,educationhasmorefreedom.Studentshaverightstochoosewhattolearnaccordingtotheirinterests,resultingingreatdiversityinthelessonsfoundupinschools.Americaneducationattachesimportancetodevelopingtheabilityofstudentsbypayattentiontodeveloptheircreativity,confidenceaswellassocialresponsibility.Thus,studentsinAmericaarereckonedtogetabettereducationforall-rounddevelopmentthanstudentsinmanycountries,includingChina.

Insufficienciescannotbeavoidedinbothcountries’educationalstructure.Asyoucanseeabove,Chinesestudentslackcreativeminds,whileAmericanstudentsare,comparativelyspeaking,weakerinbasicknowledge.Theyshouldlearnfromeachothersothattheycanmakeuptheirowndeficiency.Inaword,itisnotpracticaltothoroughlychangethewholestructureofeducationinChina,butitisinspiringtoencouragestudentstothinkwithacreativemindlikeAmericanstudentsdo.

Twenty-firstCenturyisthe high-tech eraoffiercecompetition, inthefinalanalysisisthecompetitionoftalents. Therefore, toimprovethenationalquality hasincreasingly becomethefocus ofcompetitionintheworld. Butthebasic nationalconditions ofourcountryatpresent isrichhumanresources, highquality humancapitalstock isactuallyinsufficient. Therefore, we shouldseizetheopportunity ofdevelopingour education, only increasethehumancapitalinvestment, improvingthe overall educationlevelof thewholenation, increasethe highqualitylaborforce supply, can furtherpromote China'stechnologylevel, seizetheopportunemoment time steps proceedwithdetermination, therealizationofeconomicgrowth fromextensivetointensive fundamental strategictransformation. Toensurethatthe investmentofhighereducation isthe preconditionforthesuccess ofhighereducation, thecurrentsingle investmentfromthegovernmentto dohighereducation isnotenough, thediversificationofsourcesof fundingchannels istorun oneofthe successfulexperience ofhighereducation. China'shigher educationfundingsources, USA higher educationfundingsources, bycomparingtheobtained enlightenment. China'shigher educationfundingsourcesinclude thecentralgovernmentandlocal governmentinvestment, tuition, collegestudent financialaidsystem, enterprisescientificresearch funding, inuniversities, socialdonation. America sourcesofhighereducationfinancingchannelsmainlyinclude financialsupport forhighereducation USA thefederalgovernment, stategovernment funded USA, onhighereducation tuitionandfees,to USA higher school donation, contact between American enterprisesanduniversities, each university to providestudentswith financialaid. Therefore, theestablishmentof highereducation fundraising mechanism, improveourstudentloan system, encourage thejoint-stock school, establishacollege fundsystem,setupthe educationfund, promotethe Countermeasuresof"silver schoolcooperation" phenomenon, useforeigncapitalactively and reasonably, improveouruniversities fundmanagement level.
