DearOntarioSpecialOlympics,

DylanEisnerisaspecialneedsstudentatNorthLambtonSecondarySchoolinForest,Ontario.Hecouldn’tclimbthestairsatNorthLambtonbeforehebegantrainingwiththecross-countryteam.Heisworkingveryhardonhisrunning.Hetookpartinthe2021seasonandcompletedtheracesinSWOSSAandOFSAA.Hisfamily,friends,runningmates,coachesandallthestafffeltproudofwhathehadachieved.OneofDylan’sgoalsistosomedaybeaplayerattheSpecialOlympics,whichisespeciallyheldforpeoplewithintellectual(智力的)disabilities.

“Wedidnotwanttofeedinformationthroughexperts.Wewantedpeopletowalkthroughthismazetolearnaboutdrugabuseanditsbadinfluences,”saidMrJensonSeah,oneofthefiveSingaporeanstudents.

Asthestudentorganizershopevisitorswilllearnvaluablelessonsfromtheshow,theytoorealizethatputtingtheeventtogetherwasanenrichingexperience.

“ByworkingwithofficersfromtheNationalCouncilAgainstDrugAbuse,Ilearnedalotaboutdrugabuseanditstretched(延伸)beyondmydegreecourselearningexperience,”saidMrSeah.
