Somepeoplereckonthattheprimarypurposeistopassonknowledge,increasethelevelofstudents'profession,andfulfilltheirpotentialinacademia.Thesecondopinionisthatstudentsneedtostudyandcommandmoreskillsofcommunicationwithotherpeople,broadentheirhorizon,cognizemoreaboutthesocietyandaccumulatemoresocialexperience.Someotherpeopleholdthepointthatthemostessentialpurposeisthatthestudentsareeducatedtodevelopabilitytoconfrontvariousproblemsandacceptmoreworkingexperience,whichwillenablethemtomakebetterpreparationforfuturejobandlife.

Insomesense,everypointofviewwhichhasbeenlistedaboveisreasonableandneedustothinkaboutdeeply.ButifIhavetopickoutthemostfundamentalone,Iwillsupporttheviewthatweentertheuniversitiestoreceiveeducation,thenthefirstthingweneedtomasteristhatweneedtobuildanindependentpersonalityanddevelopnicecharacterwhichwillbenefitourwholelifeandisthebasictosuccessinourcareer.Whenweentertheuniversities,tosomeextent,wewerestillteenagersandevenchildren.Fromtheperspectiveoflaw,wearejuvenileswhohadbeenprotectedandguidedbyourparentsallthetimeandweneverhadtheopportunitytobeaperson,inarealsense.Itisthefirsttimethatweneedandhavetobeourselvesandhavenoalternativebuttotaketheresponsibilitiesforourlivesandfuture.

Nowadays,withincreasingattentionspaidtotheeducation,peopledebatevigorouslywhatitisthatcanberegardedastheelementaryobjectiveofuniversityeducation.Somepeopleholdtheviewthatspecializedknowledgeandskillsareofsignificanceineducation.Distinctly,somepeopleoppositeit.Improvingstudent'sabilityofinternationalexchangeandteamworkseemstobeessential.

Personally,Iaminagreementwithbothsides.Ontheonehand,acquiringarichfundofprofessionalknowledgeplayscrucialroleinourfuturevocationalchoices.Notonlydoesitdeepenourunderstandingofthemajor.Furthermore,asstudents,itisourdutytolearnwhateverweneedandbeequippedwithcertainskills.
