JeromeKarieandIsabellaLugoskimetintheirfirstphysicalchemistryclassattheUniversityofMichiganin1940.JeromeKariewasinhisfirstyearofdoctoralwork,IsabellaLugoskiwasinherlastyearasanundergraduate(大学本科生),andtheywerelaboratorypartners.However,theydidn'tgetalongwellatfirst.
