Ifoneacceptsthatschoolsinmanycountrieswouldbeveryhesitanttointrudeintotheseareasoffamilybusiness,thenitfollowsthattheirmandateforimposingdisciplineandprovidingmoralinstructionisstrictlylimitedtocertainareasthatareconsideredbysocietytoformpartofaschool’sresponsibility.Examplesofsuchareasarehowachildperformsacademically,orwhetherornothisbehaviourwhileatschoolconformstosociallyacceptedstandards.However,evenintheseareasschoolscanonlygosofarandwillhaveto,atacertainpoint,consultwithparentsinordertoagreeonacourseofactionthatisacceptabletobothparties.
