1.Inamethodofdrawingoffgasbysuctionincoalminingbymeansofasealedcasingwhichisinsertedinaborehole,theimprovementcomprisingthestepsof:
sealingsaidcasingtosaidboreholebyasealwhichpermitsmovementofsaidcasingineitherdirectionalongsaidborehole;movingsaidcasingalongsaidboreholeandmeasuringCH4contentofgassuckedintosaidcasingatvariouspositionsalongsaidboreholetodetermineapositionofsaidcasinginwhichgaswithsubstantiallythemaximumCH4contentcanbesuckedin;positioningsaidcasinginapositiontosuckingaswithsubstantiallythemaximumCH4content;andatleastpartiallyfillinganannularspaceformedbetweensaidcasingandthewallofsaidboreholewithaliquidwhichexpandsinsaidspacetoformapolyurethanefoam.
2.Amethodaccordingtoclaim1,whereinsaidliquidwhichexpandstoformsaidpolyurethanefoamcomprisesamixtureofBaygalK55BandBaymidurK88,saidBaygalK55Bconsistingof100partsbyweightofBaygalK55and17.5partsbyweightofcastoroilandfrom0.5to3.0partsbyweightofwater.
3.Amethodaccordingtoclaim1,whereinthestepofatleastpartiallyfillinganannularspacewithaliquidcomprisesforcingsaidliquidintosaidspacebymeansofagearpump.
4.Amethodaccordingtoclaim1,whereinthestepofatleastpartiallyfillinganannularspacewithaliquidcomprisesforcingsaidliquidintosaidspacebyreleasingtheliquidfromacartridgewithinsaidspace.

7.Amethodaccordingtoclaim1,whereinsaidcasinginaplasticstubing,havinganelectricalyconductivesurface.
8.AmethodofwithdrawinggascontainingCH4fromanundergoundboreholecomprising:
providingatubularcasinghavingaleadingendwhichterminatesinasuctionmouthandatrailingendandhavinganouterdiametersmallerthanthediameterofanundergroundboreholefromwhichgasistobewithdrawn;insertingtheleadingendofthetubularcasingintotheborehole;sealingtheleadingendportionofthetubularcasingtotheboreholesidewallsoastopermitlengthwisemovementofthetubularcasingalongtheboreholewhilemaintainingtheleadingendportionofthetubularcasinginsealedrelationshipwiththeboreholesidewall;positioningthetubularcasingalongtheboreholesothatthesuctionmouthoftheleadingendofthetubularcasingissuitablypositionedtowithdrawtherethroughgaswithsubstantiallythemaximumCH4contentfromtheborehole;sealingatleastthelowerpartoftheannularspaceformedbetweenthetrailingendportionofthetubularcasingandtheboreholesidewallwithadosedinjectionofliquidwhichexpandsintheannularspacetoformanannularfoamseal;andapplyingsuctiontothetubularcasingtowithdrawthroughthesuctionmouthofthetubularcasingleadingendgaswithsubstantiallythemaximumCH4contentfromtheborehole.
9.Amethodaccordingtoclaim8;whereinthestepofpositioningthetubularcasingalongtheboreholecomprisesmovingthetubularcasingalongtheboreholewhileapplyingsuctiontothetubularcasingtowithdrawgasfromtheborehole,measuringtheCH4contentofthewithdrawngasatdifferentpositionsofthetubularcasingalongtheborehole,andpositioningthetubularcasingsothatgaswithsubstantiallythemaximumCH4contentiswithdrawnfromtheborehole.
10.Amethodaccordingtoclaim8or9;whereinthestepofsealingatleastthelowerpartoftheannularspacecomprisesintroducingadosedinjectionoftheliquidbyreleasingtheliquidfromasetofcartridgesdisposedwithintheannularspace.
11.Amethodaccordingtoclaim8or9;whereinthestepofsealingatleastthelowerpartoftheannularspacecomprisessealingsubstantiallytheentireannularspacefromthetrailingendportionofthetubularcasingtothesealedleadingendportionofthetubularcasing.

Description:
Theinventionrelatestoaprocessfordrawingoffgasbysuctionfromboreholesincoalminesbymeansofsealedcasings,whichareinsertedintheboreholesandcanbemovedtoandfroalongtheborehole,andtoaboreholeassemblyforthispurpose.
AccordingtoWestGermanPat.No.1939989,anelasticsealforsealingcasingsinboreholesfordrawingoffgasbysuctionincoalminingisknown,theelasticsealbeingcompressedtoadiameterbelowthediameteroftheboreholeonintroductionofthecasingintothedrilling.Ajacket-likeenvelopeservesforthispurpose,whichcanbepulledofffromtheelasticsealbymeansofatensionmeanspassingoutoftheborehole.Inthiscase,theelasticsealpreferablyconsistsofopen-poreelastomers.Inthisway,theelasticsealcanbeconvenientlyintroducedwiththecasingintotheborehole,although,intherelaxedstate,thediameterofthesealislargerthantheinternaldiameteroftheborehole.ThedisadvantageofthistypeofcasingandsealliesinthefactthatitisnotpossibletomeasurethepointofmaximumCH4-yieldinthedrilling,withthecasingbeingfixedandsealed,anditisnotpossibletomovetheendofthecasinginthedrillingtothepositionofmaximumCH4-yield.
Furthermore,itisknowntouseexpandedsealingmaterialswhicharepumpedupthroughaseparateline,passingupthroughthecasingtotheleveloftheseal,wherethelineextendsoutthroughthewallofthecasing.Expandedsealingmaterialsofthistyperequirecomplexsealsatthepassagepointthroughthecasing;andbesides,difficultyliesinkeepingtheexpandedsealpressureconstant.
Furthermore,itisknowntofilluptheannularspacebetweenthecasingandtheboreholewallwithasealingcomposition,forexamplewithacementsludge.Althoughasealbetweenthewholeofthesurfaceofthecasingandthewalloftheboreholecanbeachievedwithaboreholesealmadewithcementsludge,itisdisadvantageousinsofaras,shortlyafterthesettingofthecementsludge,leaksappear.Forexample,thesurroundinggroundmovementdamagesthecementjacketaroundthesuctioncasing,andthejacketdevelopscrackstoamarkedextent,sothatshortcircuitsoccuraroundthecasingafterashorttime.Afurtherdisadvant
