   "Atthebeginning,myteachersthoughtIwascrazy,"Joserecalls."Theydidnotunderstandthatwearenotthefutureofthecountrybutitspresent.Luckily.Ihadthesupportoftheschoolprincipal."

   By2013,thebankhadover200memberswhobroughtinonetonofrecyclablewaste.Today,theeco-bank,whichnowhasthesupportofseverallocalinstitutions,hasteneducationalcenters.Theyaredesignedtoteachtheover3,000membersbothfinanceandenvironmentalmanagement.OnDecember6,2018,inresponsetothegrowingdemand,BartselanaStudentBankbeganacceptingapplicationsfromkidsallacrossPeru.
