而这石头指的就是指的石林,它被誉为“天下第一奇观”和“阿诗玛故乡”,它是国家重点风景名胜区和5A级景区,04年2月被列为世界地质公园,07年6月与贵州荔波,重庆武隆捆绑组成“中国南方喀斯特”被列为世界自然遗产。
早在元朝,石林就设了路南州,就是长满黑石头的地方,后设路南县,98年12月将路南彝族自治县更名为石林彝族自治县。
这里有“五乡”之美誉,即“岩溶、歌舞、摔跤、绘画、烟草之乡”。
说到石林县,不得不提到这里的撒尼人。
撒尼人是彝族的一个支系。
他们自称“尼”,意思是快乐的人。
在新中国成立前,彝族还没有一个统一的称谓。
1950年毛主席选定了“彝”字为他们的族称,认为有“米”又有“丝”,可以不愁吃穿。
从此,“彝”就被正式定为彝族各个支系的统一称呼,他们祟拜老虎、蜘蛛、鸡。
他们的文体活动主要有摔交、斗牛、跳大三弦舞。
而撒尼人的服饰最有特色的是花包头,有红、绿、蓝等7种颜色丝绸配制,边沿钉有银泡,两侧缀一对“彩蝶”,非常的精美,是忠贞爱情的象征。
彝族的住房,在石林县,由于各地自然条件不尽相同,房屋的结构形式也不同,有土掌房、石板房、篱笆房、茅草房四种。
