“Thepointis,thisissomethingthatisaseffectiveasotherthingswedototrytoguidebehaviorinchildren,andit’sfairlysimple,”Christakissaid.
AnotherstudypublishedinPediatricsfoundthemoreTVkidsandteenswatched,themorelikelytheyweretohaveacrimeorotherproblemsinsociety.Childrenmayimitateviolencetheysee—ormoretimeinfrontoftheTVcouldsimplymeanlesscommunicationwithpeersandfamilies,andworseperformanceinschool.
