跟中文一样,主要是按照读音押韵。
有的英文诗所有句子皆押韵,有的双句押韵,也有像中文《浣溪沙》一样三句押韵的。
有一韵到底的,也有换韵的。
还有按照每一节的相同诗句押韵的。
最后一种,例如两节都是四句,第一节跟第二节的前两句同韵,后两句也同韵,但同一节的四句并不同韵。
如下例就共用/i:
