I.Introduction(Heading1)
Thistemplate,modifiedinMSWord2007andsavedasa“Word97-2003Document”forthePC,providesauthorswithmostoftheformattingspecificationsneededforpreparingelectronicversionsoftheirpapers.Allstandardpapercomponentshavebeenspecifiedforthreereasons:
(1)easeofusewhenformattingindividualpapers,
(2)automaticcompliancetoelectronicrequirementsthatfacilitatetheconcurrentorlaterproductionofelectronicproducts,and(3)conformityofstylethroughoutaconferenceproceedings.Margins,columnwidths,linespacing,andtypestylesarebuilt-in;examplesofthetypestylesareprovidedthroughoutthisdocumentandareidentifiedinitalictype,withinparentheses,followingtheexample.Somecomponents,suchasmulti-leveledequations,graphics,andtablesarenotprescribed,althoughthevarioustabletextstylesareprovided.Theformatterwillneedtocreatethesecomponents,incorporatingtheapplicablecriteriathatfollow.
II.EaseofUse
A.SelectingaTemplate(Heading2)
First,confirmthatyouhavethecorrecttemplateforyourpapersize.ThistemplatehasbeentailoredforoutputontheA4papersize.IfyouareusingUSletter-sizedpaper,pleaseclosethisfileanddownloadthefile“MSW_USltr_format”.
B.MaintainingtheIntegrityoftheSpecifications
Thetemplateisusedtoformatyourpaperandstylethetext.Allmargins,columnwidths,linespaces,andtextfontsareprescribed;pleasedonotalterthem.Youmaynotepeculiarities.Forexample,theheadmargininthistemplatemeasuresproportionatelymorethaniscustomary.Thismeasurementandothersaredeliberate,usingspecificationsthatanticipateyourpaperasonepartoftheentireproceedings,andnotasanindependentdocument.Pleasedonotreviseanyofthecurrentdesignations.
III.PrepareYourPaperBeforeStyling
Beforeyoubegintoformatyourpaper,firstwriteandsavethecontentasaseparatetextfile.Keepyourtextandgraphicfilesseparateuntilafterthetexthasbeenformattedandstyled.Donotusehardtabs,andlimituseofhardreturnstoonlyonereturnattheendofaparagraph.Donotaddanykindofpaginationanywhereinthepaper.Donotnumbertextheads-thetemplatewilldothatforyou.

A.AbbreviationsandAcronyms
Defineabbreviationsandacronymsthefirsttimetheyareusedinthetext,evenaftertheyhavebeendefinedintheabstract.AbbreviationssuchasIEEE,SI,MKS,CGS,sc,dc,andrmsdonothavetobedefined.Donotuseabbreviationsinthetitleorheadsunlesstheyareunavoidable.
B.Units
·UseeitherSI(MKS)orCGSasprimaryunits.(SIunitsareencouraged.)Englishunitsmaybeusedassecondaryunits(inparentheses).AnexceptionwouldbetheuseofEnglishunitsasidentifiersintrade,suchas“3.5-inchdiskdrive.”
·AvoidcombiningSIandCGSunits,suchascurrentinamperesandmagneticfieldinoersteds.Thisoftenleadstoconfusionbecauseequationsdonotbalancedimensionally.Ifyoumustusemixedunits,clearlystatetheunitsforeachquantitythatyouuseinanequation.
