AboutSirFrancisChichester(1901-1972):

BorninDevon,Britainin1901,SirFrancisChichesterwasaBritishadventurer.In1931,heplannedtoflyroundtheworld,buttheplanewasdamagedinJapan.In1960,hewonthefirstsolotransatlanticracebysailingthe“GipsyMothII”.During1966-1967hesailedroundtheworldaloneina53-footyachtthe“GipsyMothIV”.Hepublishedtwobooks“TheLonelySeaandSky”&“TheGipsyMothCirclestheWorld”
