Abstract

TherearesomanypeoplewhoenjoywatchingthemovieForrestGump.Sincethefilmwasfirstshownin1994,themoviehasbeenlovedandworshippedbyalargenumberoffans.Anditalsoattractstoomuchattentionofmoviereviewersworldwide.Theyhavemadeavarietyofcommentsonthismovie;however,theyjustcommentedonitinratherlimitedaspects,failingtopointouttherealcauseofForrestGump’sworldwidepopularity.TheauthorofthisthesisattemptstomakeadeepexplorationintothecauseofForrestGump’spopularity,whichinvolvesAmericanculture,valuesandhumorinthemovie.

Thispaperconsistsofsevenparts.Thefirstpartistheintroduction.Thesecondpartisageneralreviewofthemovie,whichcoversthemaincontentofthefilm.ThethirdpartinterpretsandanalyzesAmericanculturethroughAmericaneducation,thedevelopmentofAmericanmusic,nameculture,religiouscultureaswellasidiomaticculture.ThefourthpartisaboutAmericanvaluesembodiedinForrestGump.Thevaluesreflectthesignificanceofflutteringfeathersandthesignificanceofrunning.Thefifthpartmainlyfocusesonthemaincharacters,whichmakesacross-cultureinterpretationofForrestGump’smaincharacters.ThesixthpartmakesacompletedialysisofEnglishhumorbythemeansofcomedy,humorandirony.Thelastpartisasimpleconclusionofthethesis.

论文摘要

很多人都喜欢看电影《阿甘正传》。

这部电影从1994年拍摄至今倍受广大影迷的喜爱，同时也是影评界津津乐道的话题。

国内外的很多评论家对《阿甘正传》作出了五花八门的评论，但是他们只是从某些特定的角度来评价，并没有直接说出这部电影倍受青睐的原因。

本论文通过电影中折射出来的美国文化、价值观及英语幽默对《阿甘正传》这部影片倍受青睐的成因进行了多角度的探究。

本文分为七个部分。

第一部分为绪论。

第二部分是电影回顾，讲了电影的主要内容。

第三部分通过电影中涉及到的方面对美国的教育、音乐、姓名、宗教、习语等文化进行了解读。

第四部分是美国价值观在《阿甘正传》中的体现，主要为电影中飘动的羽毛的意义以及阿甘奔跑的意义。

第五部分对电影中主要的角色进行了跨文化的解读。

第六部分主要通过喜剧、幽默以及反讽等手法进行了英语幽默的透析。

第七部分是结论来说明这部电影真正成功的因素。
