Morestudentsthaneverbeforearetakingagapyear（间隔年）beforegoingtouniversity.Itusedtobethe“yearoff”betweenschoolanduniversity.Thegap-yearphenomenonoriginated（起源）withthemonthsleftovertoOxbridgeapplicantsbetweenentranceexamsinNovemberandthestartofthenextacademicyear.
