“Thestudyshowedthatseniorswerehappywiththeexperienceandreallylivedit,”saysBruun-Pedersen.“Theyfeltasiftheyhadtoridehardertogetupthe

hillonthescreen.”

Scientistsarebusyexcavatingtherestofthepyramid.They’renotsurewhytheMayascreatedthestructureorthemuralsonit,buttheyhopetolearnmoreastheycontinuetodig.Martinbelievesthereareatleastadozenmuralslefttobediscovered.Theworkwillbeslowgoingthough.Theancientpaintingsmustbetreatedwithcaresothey’renotdamaged.“It’sraretofindpaintingsliketheseinsuchgoodcondition,”Martinsaid.“Butweknowthattherearemorestilltobeuncovered.”
