sfamilywatchingboatracesandmakingzongzi？
为什么朱辉的家人在看龙舟赛、包粽子？
【辨析】race，game，match
（1）race主要用于赛跑、赛车等速度比赛。
（2）game主要指决定胜负的游戏，通常有一套规则，凡参加者均须遵守。
说“比赛”，在英国通常用match，在美国常用game。
另外game的复数形式一般指大型的国际比赛或综合性体育运动会，如：
theOlympicGames奥林匹克运动会
（3）match指体育运动中的竞技比赛，凡是球类方面的比赛均可用match表示。
典例2 Butthereisn'
taDragonBoatFestivalintheUS，soit'
slikeanyothernightforZhuHuiandhishostfamily．但是在美国没有端午节，所以对于朱辉和寄宿家庭来说就和平时的晚上一样。
anyother表示“其他任何一个；
任何其他的……”，指在同一范围内除了某人、某物以外的其他人或物，后接单数可数名词。
【辨析】other，theother，others，theothers，another
（1）other作形容词时，意为“别的”或“其他的”，泛指“其他的（人或物）”，后接名词。
（2）theother指两个人或物中的另一个。
（3）others泛指“另外的人或物”，但不指其余的人或物的全部。
本身代表名词，故后不加名词。
（4）theothers特指某范围内“其余全部的人或物”。
（5）another指不定数目中的“另一个，又一个”（三者或三者以上），用来代替或修饰单数可数名词。
【辨析】therebe，have/has
（1）therebe强调存在，表示“某物或某人在某处”或“某地有某人或某物”，be动词用is或are，由其后的主语的数决定。
e．g．—Isthereabookonthedesk？
课桌上有本书吗？
—Yes，thereis．是的，有。
（2）have/has强调“拥有”。
表示“某人或某物拥有……”或“某人、某物本身具有……”。
have/has的形式由其主语的人称和数而定。
e．g．Hehasanicewatch．他有一块漂亮的手表。
典例3 ZhuHuimisseshisfamilyandwishestohavehismom'
sdeliciouszongzi．朱辉想念他的家人并希望吃上妈妈包的美味的粽子。
【拓展】
（1）miss（v．）错过（机会），未赶上。

（2）Miss（n．）小姐，对未婚女士的称呼。
