Butinthefight,theBismarckwasslightlydamaged.Hercommanderdecidedtorunforrepairsto
France,whichhadatthattimebeentakenbythespeedandtheheavyfog,theylostsightofher.
Fortwodays,everyBritishshipintheAtlantictriedtofindtheBismarck,butwithnosuccess.Finally,shewassightedbyaplanefromtheair.TheBismarckwashit.
OnthemorningofMay27,thelastbattlewasfought.FourBritishshipsfiredontheBismarck,andshewasfinallysunk.
