SurfaceandInterfaceAnalysis[SIA]isdevotedtothepublicationofpapersdealingwiththedevelopmentandapplicationoftechniquesforthecharacterizationofsurfaces,interfacesandthinfilms.Papersdealingwithstandardizationandquantificationareparticularlywelcome,andalsothosewhichdealwiththeapplicationofthesetechniquestoindustrialproblems.Papersdealingwiththepurelytheoreticalaspectsofthetechniquewillalsobeconsidered.Reviewarticleswillbepublished;

priorconsultationwithoneoftheEditors（seebelow）isadvisedinthesecases.Papersmustclearlybeofscientificvalueinthefieldandwillbesubmittedtotwoindependentreferees.ContributionsmustbeinEnglishandmustnothavebeenpublishedelsewhere,andauthorsmustagreenottocommunicatethesamematerialforpublicationtoanyotherjournal.AuthorsareinvitedtosubmittheirpapersforpublicationtoJohnWatts（UKonly）,JoseSanz（RestofEurope）,JohnT.Grant（allnon-Europeancountries,exceptJapan,South-EastAsiaandChina）,RyuichiShimizu（Japanonly）orAndrewT.S.Wee（SoutheastAsiaandChina）.Itisintheauthor'
