In1967,thethyristorwasusedforelevatordriving,andtheacregulatingdrivecontrolelevatorappeared.In1983,thevariablefrequencyconversioncontrolelevatorappeared,becauseitsgoodspeedregulationperformance,comfortandenergysavingandothercharacteristicsquicklybecamethemainstreamproductsoftheelevator.

OnApril17~20,2002,mitsubishielectriccompanyexhibitedamodelofescalatoratthe5thChinainternationalelevatorexhibition.Thestructureofthedriverackwithretractableexpansioncanchangethespacingofthestepsatruntime,thusmakingthespeedchange.Thespeedofitsslantsegmentis1.5timesthespeedoftheentrancelevel,whichcanshortenthe
