1.1ResearchBackground

Sincethe18thcentury,womenhavebeenmakingeffortstochangethesituationinwhichthemajorityofwomenarefacingunequaltreatment.Actually,itwasnotaneasythingtomakethedreamofequalitybetweenmalesandfemalescometrueandthefeministshavegonethroughaharshwaytoreachtheirgoals.Inordertosucceedinwinningmorerightsforfemales,theyturnedtoaseriesofmethodsandliteratureisthemostinfluentialonessinceitcouldchangethestandpointsofpeopleabouttherolesofmalesandfemales.Therefore,therehavebeenlargenumbersofliteraryworksaboutthefeminism.Thenovel,SonandLover,isoneofthemostimportantone.Inthatnovel,thelovebetweenthemotherandhersonhaschangedintothemixtureoflovebetweencouplesandthemother-sonlove.Despitethefactthattherearemanypeoplewhoheldnegativeattitudetowardthisnovel,itcouldnotbedeniedthatthisnovelplayedimportantrolesinthefeminismmovement.Inthisthesis,theimageofthefemaleprotagonistinthisnovelcouldprovideimportantenlightenmentonthefeminismmovement.
