（二）可测量结果

1.本课程的重点在于细读文学文本，讨论和剖析文学作品语言和形式的难点，获得对作品所表述的思想和情感的领悟。

2.教师在课堂里主要利用多媒体课件来介绍这些作品产生的背景和英国文学传统的发展过程，并重点分析特定作品的选段，以帮助同学形成阅读和欣赏英语文学名著的能力。

3.课前要求预习，要求学生针对指定读物书面回答问题；

课堂内加强讨论，促进并开拓同学们的思维。

4.教师将充分收集已有研究观点，在课堂展示，供学生学习，摹仿，鉴别，批判。

在这种对比和评判中，学生学会构建自己的思想。

5.在指导学生细读整部头的原著的同时，引导学生把所读作品放在文化语境中加以审视，形成对人类生存状况的关怀，尤其是对当下中国现实的关怀。

三、课程要求

（一）授课方式与要求

授课方式：

1.教师讲授（介绍专业知识、背景材料，解读文学文本，提出讨论主题）；

2.讨论课（由主题发言和质疑-应答两个环节组成，学生在讨论中如能进行质疑反思，则会在其绩效记录中有所体现）；

3.课堂报告（要求学生根据教学进度自主选择议题，充分查阅资料，制作演示课件，在课堂上作5-10分钟报告）

课程要求：

熟悉基本知识、培养思维和表达能力、提高中外文社会科学文献的阅读能力，提高对现实和艺术的审美能力。

由于课程的性质，授课教师将特别重视讨论和课堂报告环节，每位选课同学在课程开设期间须至少作课堂报告1次，讨论发言多次。

作为听众的同学如能对他人的课堂报告和讨论发言进行有分量的评价和质疑，可予以加分。

教师也将当场或下次授课时对讨论课情况进行点评，对存有的疑问进行解答或评论。

（2）考试评分与建议

教学共分4个阶段，每一阶段为四周。

每一阶段结束时举行一次开卷考试或上交一篇学期小论文，每次计分25%（综合考虑学生的课堂报告和课堂讨论中的表现）。

最终成绩是四次阶段成绩的总和。

本课程以西方理论家RamanSelden主编的文艺理论批评集《批评理论---从柏拉图到现在》为主要教材，以问题为核心，从再现、主题、形式、体系、结构、历史、社会、道德、阶级、性别等多个方面切入，精读西方思想家的文本，并对这些问题展开讨论。

课程以教师讲授、文本精读和学生参与相结合。

ThecourseintendedtointroducetostudentsthedominantWesternliterarytheoriesover2000years.Excerptsbyfamouswesternphilosophers,theoristsandcriticswillberead,discussedandcomparedfromdifferentperspectivessurroundingsubjectsofrepresentation,expression,form,system,structure,history,society,moralityandetc.Lecture,presentationanddiscussionwillbeintegratedinthisclass.

本课程要求学生精读自柏拉图以来西方主要思想家和理论家最重要的文学理论和批评原著选段，基本把握西方主要文艺理论的精髓和演变，以及各观点之间的异同，进而对理论观念的形成过程有初步的把握和认识，提高对理论文本的理解和批判能力，努力构建自己的独立观点。
