SinceclassicalUV-VISmethods（includingderivativespectrophotometricandmulti-wavelengthmeasurements）,solventextraction,basicelectroanalyticalmethods,titrimetry,etc.arewellestablished,studiesinsuchareasareacceptedforpublicationinexceptionalcasesonly,ifauniqueandsubstantialadvantageoverpresentlyknownsystemsisdemonstrated.Studiesreportedshouldbesupportedbyademonstrationoftheapplicationofthemethodtorealsamples.Nopapersdealingwiththedeterminationofdrugsinbiologicalsamplesbasedmerelyonspikedsamplesareacceptable.Indeterminingthesuitabilityofsubmittedarticlesforpublication,particularscrutinywillbeplacedonthedegreeofnoveltyandsignificanceoftheresearchandtheextenttowhichitaddstoexistingknowledgeinpharmaceuticalandbiomedicalanalysis.Inallsubmissionstothejournal,authorsmustaddressthequestionofhowtheirproposedmethodologycompareswithpreviouslyreportedmethods.Asubstantialbodyofworkcannotbefractionatedintodifferentshorterpapers.
